The season returns, and the villa wakes up on its own.

19 October 2026

The season returns, and the villa wakes up on its own.

In October, the Caribbean shifts gently from one season to the next, and so does the villa. On the day the first arrivals push the door open, the shutters are open, the air is moving, the water is hot: the house woke up before them.

It is 9 a.m., and the villa is still asleep

The shutters have been closed for weeks. The house spent the off-season shut up, under the sun, while you were away. In a few days, the season returns: the family arrives, or the first guests drop their bags.

Before, you would have had to come and reopen everything early: air it out, restart it, check it. Today, you do it from your phone, wherever you are. A single gesture: “Villa wake-up.” And the house opens.

The idea: reopening the house in one gesture

This is a wake-up scene, made for houses that stay closed for a while. In one go, the villa reopens, starts breathing again and picks up its rhythm. You are not there, and yet everything is ready.

And to go further, our article [What if your home took care of your outdoor spaces too?](/?p=1565) covers the terrace, the garden and the pool.

What it changes

The shutters open, the air comes in. After weeks of a closed house, the sea air moves through the rooms again, before anyone arrives.

The water is hot in advance. The water heater restarts the day before, so the first shower is never cold.

The cool comes back. The air conditioning runs for a while to take the damp out of the rooms, then settles for a pleasant stay.

That cooling setting for a stay, our article [Air conditioning in the Caribbean: how to pay less](/?p=1577) covers it, on the cool side and the bill side.

The house welcomes. At arrival time, the driveway lights up, the door is ready, and the air is soft. Everything feels as if it had always been this way.

The home in your pocket

In Yubii Home, the app that brings together the Nice and FIBARO world, a single button is enough: “Villa wake-up.” You can also say it out loud, or schedule it a week ahead, for the day of arrival.

And from where you are, you can see that all is in order: what is open, what is running, what is waiting. The villa answers you.

The line that sums it up

The season returns, and the house is already awake when you arrive.

AND HERE AT HOME?

From Anguilla to Antigua, from Sint Maarten to the British Virgin Islands:

  1. The house closed for the off-season. A villa left shut for weeks under the sun needs air before it welcomes anyone. It reopens on its own, before you arrive.
  2. Warm, humid air. After weeks with the doors closed, the house needs to breathe. Shutters open and air conditioning restarted the day before: you walk into a cool, fresh home.
  3. Rentals picking up again. The high season returns and bookings follow one another: every villa can be ready without anyone having to go there.
  4. You land on the last flight. The plane touches down late, the road is long: the house, for its part, has been ready since the afternoon.

On the evening you arrive, the driveway lights up in the dark, the shutters are open to the breeze, and the air smells clean. The season begins, and the house waits for you, instead of asking something of you.
