At night, one word, and the house closes up for the night.

20 October 2026

At night, one word, and the house closes up for the night.

You head up to bed. You say two words, and the villa takes care of the rest: the lights dim, the shutters close, the door locks. The next morning, everything was already ready.

Evening, 10 p.m., inside the house

It is 10 p.m. The day has been long, and only one thing is left: going up. But first, there is the evening round. The living room light, the hallway one, the terrace door, the gate, the bedroom AC. Every night, the same gestures, room after room.

Tonight, you do none of them. On the landing, you simply say: good night. And the house takes over.

The idea: one word for the whole house

This is the simplest idea in a connected home: an evening scene, triggered with a word or a gesture. Everything that had to be done before sleeping happens together, in one go.

No new habit to learn, no screen to look for. One sentence, and the house follows.

What it changes

No more evening round. No walking back through every room to switch off, close, lock. The house tidies itself while you head upstairs.

A quiet night. The front door locks, the gate closes, the alarm takes its post. Everything is in place, without you having to think about it.

The right cool. The bedroom AC sets itself for the night, at the right temperature, never too cold, never too weak. Sleep no longer depends on a setting you forgot.

That night setting, our article [Air conditioning in the Caribbean: how to pay less](/?p=1577) spells it out, on the cool side and the bill side.

A gentle morning. On waking, the house opens the shutters with the light, brings back the hot water, starts the coffee. The day begins before you.

The home in your pocket

In the evening, everything gathers in Yubii Home, the app that brings together the Nice and FIBARO world. With one button, you launch the good-night scene. You can also hand it to your voice, from bed, or to a small remote set on the nightstand.

And if you are far away, the house still closes down. You find it ready in the morning, and the app tells you all is in order.

The line that sums it up

In the evening, the house closes before you, so the night can start sooner.

AND HERE AT HOME?

From Sint Maarten to St. Kitts, from Anguilla to Barbados:

  1. Night that falls at 6 p.m. Here, the evening starts early. A house that gently lowers the lights follows the end of the day, with no gesture at all.
  2. The AC running at night. A well-set night mode cools the bedroom without running the whole house for nothing.
  3. Rentals. An early morning departure, guests still asleep: in one gesture, the house closes up and gets ready for what comes next.
  4. Children asleep. A light that fades softly and a door that locks without a sound: nobody wakes up.

And when night falls as early as 6 p.m., the house can light the way on its own too: our article [It is dark by 6 p.m., and your driveway lights up before you do](/?p=1733) tells the same softness, from the light side.

It is 10 p.m. The light goes soft, the shutters close without a sound, the door locks. There is nothing left for you to check. The evening waits for you, instead of asking something of you.
